Have you ever wondered how you can connect with spirit daily?  What little routines or things that you can do, which will help you?

Maybe, you’re struggling to connect and just don’t feel like it’s happening.

Regardless of whether you’re trying to connect with a spirit guide or a loved one in the spirit world, the techniques are all the same.

I’m going to share with you some things that you can try, some you may enjoy and others you may struggle with, I do hope that you connect with at least one and it works for you.

One key thing to remember is that we are all different in the way that we interpret and get information from the spirit world.  If you’re not sure if you’re doing things right, try out my free intuition course >>HERE

  1. Dream Journal – before you go to bed at night just ask your spirit guides or loved ones that they have permission to connect with you and come to you in your dreams and that your willing to receive whatever messages that they may have for you. Then go off to sleep.  As soon as you wake up, even if you have a dream in the middle of the night and wake up from it, you need to write down as much of it as you can remember, what you saw, felt etc. then forget about it.  If you’re just starting to do this, wait a couple of days before looking at the dream and think about what’s happening to you during the past couple of days and whether there is some message that relates to what you’ve experienced.  This is good practice to help you see beyond the literal dream to what could be images that represent something eg. Rose = love.  Just remember that what we actually dream isn’t usually the message, it’s a hidden thing within the dream.
  2. Gratitude Journal – at the end of every day, don’t just write something that you’re thankful for, take a moment to sit with the open journal in your lap and pen in your hand and feel through the day to something that you want to write. Don’t just write – I’m grateful for friends, go to the moment where a friend did something nice for you, how it made you feel and then write all that down, Including the experience and the feelings attached to it. Immerse yourself again in the moment.  This allows you to understand those emotions and feelings when they may come randomly from the spirit world.  It also puts you in a more positive frame of mind.
  3. Meditation – the usual with this one! Meditation can be difficult for some people.  I always say just start with a 5 minute guided meditation and slowly progress from there.  What meditation does is that it allows your mind to relax, to receive messages from the spirit world and to connect with those that are there.  It can take a bit of practice so again, if nothing seems to be happening don’t give up.  If nothing else, it’s good for the mind to have a rest!
  4. Chakra Meditation – focusing on each of the chakras and making sure that they’re working the way that they should is also a good thing. With our chakras in balance, it again, helps us to open up and receive messages.  Don’t just focus on the third eye and the crown chakra because that leads to you being imbalanced.  All the chakras need to be working in harmony with each other.  It’s not all about being ‘spiritual’, we have to be human and down to earth as well.  If you want to learn more about chakras, I offer a course >>HERE
  5. Tarot Card – Quite simply, shuffle your tarot cards and ask the spirit world if they have a message for you. An example would be ‘what do I need me to know?  Shuffle until a card falls from the deck or you are ready to stop and you can either pick the top card of the deck or spread them out and select the one that you are drawn to.  Remember, tarot cards can have a number of different meanings.  Look at the card and see what you feel when you look at it.  See which image may stand out to you ,and then of course, look up the meaning and see how you can apply it to your life.  I offer a Beginners Guide to Tarot >>HERE
  6. Oracle Card – Similar to the Tarot, except with Oracle cards the question is more ‘what do I need to work on’ as you shuffle the cards. I have found that Tarot cards usually relate to more things that are happening around you and also growth, whereas Oracle cards are more things within you that you need to work on.
  7. Ask for a sign – one of my favourites! I’ve put it last because it’s a link to a blog that I wrote previously which explains “how to get a sign from the spirit world” and allows you to be able to communicate with them, for example ‘yes or no’ answers.  It’s pretty well guaranteed to work!
