What’s it like to be psychic?
I’ve often been asked ‘what’s it like to be psychic?’
To be honest, I’m not sure how to answer that because I don’t know what it’s like to NOT be psychic!
I’ve been like this all my life. However, I didn’t know I was psychic as I was brought up in a strict SDA religious environment – you can read all about that in my award winning book Christian to Clairvoyant >>HERE.
As a child, I saw what I can only refer to as aliens. They weren’t angels to me, though yes, I did see them as well. However, I knew that who I was seeing just wasn’t from this world.
And no, they didn’t look like the aliens on TV! LOL… they looked just like, well, normal people really.
As I developed my gifts, weird things started to happen, and that’s just because I was opening myself up more to what I already was. Nothing really frightened me, though I have had a couple of freaky moments!
I’ve been poked in the back by spirits, my bed lifted off the ground. Having spirits run behind my car as I’m reversing …. All fun and games. LOL
Do, I walk around the shops getting messages for random people? No, I don’t allow myself. I ask my spirit guide to turn off that ability, seriously, I want to just take time out folks!
I also don’t agree with going up to a stranger to give them a message, because as a psychic, we don’t get all the information. We only have what we’re given. We don’t know all the ‘ins and outs’ to why this message may be good or bad and because of that I won’t just walk up to someone and give them a message.
When I’m just talking with someone in general, I also don’t try and receive any information from their spirit guides – there’s a time and place, people!
However, if you have a reading with me, then yes, I’ll give you everything I get!
Being psychic can be incredibly emotionally and physically draining. I can’t sit down and do readings all day, I need to take constant breaks.
When I do readings, I start to heat up and this is something that has happened to me from the day I started to officially do readings! I break out into a sweat, and for the person having the reading, if they can see me, it may look like I’m nervous but I’m not. I’m just cooking from the energy that I’m receiving!!
I used to do psychic parties but it really just got too much for me. Doing say 8 half hour readings in a row would wipe me out for a couple of days.
I learnt to listen to what I could manage and implement that. Realizing that I needed to set boundaries for my own health and wellbeing.
I love what I do. It can be incredibly frustrating when someone just doesn’t want to hear the message that is being given. It is also fulfilling when the message for a grieving person gives them some comfort and closure.
There’s also nothing better than hearing from someone a year after I predicted a baby and seeing a picture of them. 😊
Do I always get things right? Hell no! I can misinterpret the information and more importantly, you can make decisions after getting the message that changes things and there’s nothing wrong with that!
The spirit world just uses me as a messenger and they give me the message, sometimes in words, feelings, sight, sound and from that, I do my best to deliver it to you in a way that you’ll understand.
It’s guidance, to help you navigate this journey called life. However you have free will to do whatever the hell you want. Go for it.
