Spirituality and the seasons are linked, did you realise that?

The pagan celebration of the changing of the seasons influences our lives.

While I’m not a pagan, I do recognise that being spiritual is also similar in some ways.

Appreciating the beauty around us.

Living in connection with nature and the seasons.

Understanding how the seasons affect us.

Most importantly I love the meaning behind the seasons.

Those meanings do bring spirituality into it.

Having said all that, how do you look at spring with a spirituality perspective?

Well, if you want to celebrate the Spring Equinox to start with it is referred to as Ostara (that’s pronounced Os-Tah-ra).

The beauty of spring is that it means that the days are getting longer and warmer.

You can see the earth renewing itself.

The blossoms starting to bloom and the bees buzzing around with their work.

What does spring mean to you?

To me, it’s all about renewal.

The good old spring clean where I remove things that are no longer relevant to me.

Donating whatever I can first up to help others, whether human or animal.

It is about reassessing what my goals may be, not just business and personal growth but health as well.

It’s also a lovely time of year to make a spiritual trip if you’re able.

Places that are near you that are sacred in some way.

Whether that is a spiritual native place (make sure you have permission to go there)

It could be a place where you just enjoy a spiritual connection to Mother Earth.

Make this a time for you to renew your focus within your life.

It you want to create some ritual where you banish old thoughts and welcome in the new.

You may want to meditate and see what guidance comes from your spirit guides.

Having a journal handy to write things down as soon as the meditation is finished will stop you forgetting.

There you have it.

Spring is about renewal throughout your life.

Creating new positive energies towards new goals and aAllowing old goals that didn’t work out to be put aside for now.

Embracing the energy of renewal.

And so, that’s my spiritual take on Spring.

Love & light
