Did you know that there are 7 stages to your spiritual awakening?

Having said that, you also need to know that not everyone will have their awakening in this lifetime, and that includes you.

No matter how much you may want them to, or how much you may want to, it’s just not meant to be in this lifetime, which I know can really suck!

Some people get stuck in some of the stages, especially stage 1 – they identify with being ‘unlucky’ or ‘unhappy’ and there’s nothing you can do to shift it.

As you read through these different stages, just make sure you don’t get stuck in either of them.

Sometimes, we can focus far too much what everyone around us is doing / going through instead of focusing on our own journey.

What you need to do, is just focus on you and your journey because as I’m always saying, our journeys are different, because we’re all different.

Here they are:-

Stage 1 – a feeling of unhappiness and emptiness, as mentioned some people stay stuck in here until another reincarnation.  There are a number of different reasons for this, one of them being that people can identify with being miserable, or it brings them a sense of identity in feeling that they are unlucky. However, for those who are starting to have their spiritual awakening in this lifetime, or carrying on from another one, you get to ….

Stage 2 – Perception shifts -You realise that you’re living a life that isn’t making your soul happy, though with the realisation you can still feel lost.  This often leads you to the place you start trying different things and may make some rather irrational decisions, while trying to find what it is that makes your soul happy.

Stage 3 – Seeking answers and meaning – this can actually be a bad thing, because this is when people can get caught up in cults, so do be careful, because they can come across as being the answers to what you’ve been looking for, when they’re really all about control.  Use this stage to visit different churches or beliefs eg buddhism, read up about spirituality and belief systems, get knowledge.  However, what everyone needs to know is that the answers are actually within you, no-one outside of you can give you the answers.

Stage 4 – Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs – this is where you pick the bits out of all that you’ve learnt and start to implement things into your own life.  You may be drawn to paganism and join a wiccan group, you may follow buddhist teachings, or you may pull different bits out and just implement what feels right for you.  Remember, that there is no right regards to what you actually do, as long as your soul is happy, that’s what matters.

Stage 5 – Disillusionment and feeling lost – you can almost go back to the beginning, however what this stage is about is making you realise that being spiritual isn’t superficial things, it’s what you are inside.  It becomes a knowing and you have to find that element of your soul so you feel content and that leads you to …..

Stage 6 – Deeper inner work – again, there’s no right or wrong here because it’s your own path, but you may find that you enjoy meditation and it’s something that you have to do every day.  It’s learning to let go of your ego, not letting it be the guide of what you’re doing, but instead finding a humble sense of peace that you want to share with others, just don’t force your view on them!

Stage 7 – Integration, expansion, joy – where you are at peace, you are living your spiritual life and you have let go of ego and embrace all that happens without letting negative things overwhelm you.

The main thing that I will say to you, is that if you start to tell others how far along you are in your spiritual journey, you’re actually not.

That is actually you go talking, and you still have a lot of work to do.

Your spiritual journey/awakening is not competition with anyone.
