Well, we had a late blast of Summer but I do feel that Autumn is finally here!  I know I say this every Autumn but it truly is my favourite time of year, I just love those cool nights and crisp mornings but when the sun is shining it’s not too hot. 

Does anyone know what time of year it is? Yes, it’s autumn but what is coming up on April 30^th? It is Samhain  (pronounced Sow-en), which is more commonly known as HALLOWEEN.  If you’re Pagan this is the witch’s New Year celebrations!  This is the time of year when the veil between those in the spirit world and us here is at its thinist.  It is a time when those that have passed will come to you in your memories and inspire your dreams.

We in the Southern Hemisphere have for some reason, latched on to the dates that the northern hemisphere use and that isn’t correct – it is the time of year that we should be celebrating not the date, so our Halloween is 30^th April NOT 31^st October – and if you think about it why would we be celebrating the dead going into summer when everything is living and at its best?!  It’s going into Winter that we celebrate Halloween. 

This is a night to celebrate death as a part of life, a time to remember your ancestors and those who have passed.  It’s not about witches and goblins and the like, it is a time to honour our ancestors and loved ones and to reconnect with the souls that are no longer in their physical form.  So if you like, have a party with friends and family and leave an empty chair for those that you love who have passed over and remember all the good times that were had and celebrate the life of those still here.

It’s Never too late to …… write a poem

We all have poetry within us – you don’t have to show anyone or think it has to be published but write down your feelings, it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t rhyme or make sense to start with, sometimes it takes a few goes to actually get it all out on paper, you’ll be pleased with the result once you’re done.  It’s like a cleansing of the soul.

This monthly forecast is based on your Sun sign, if you know your Moon and Rising (Ascendant) signs please read them as well for further insight.

Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19): There is a lot going on this month, beginning with a group of planets in your 2nd house of resources and values. This is strengthened on the 2nd May when Mercury moves into this area from your sign. Within a week, both Mars and Mercury are opposed by Saturn and this could lead to some serious frustration if you’re trying to raise finance or get someone else to be co-operative with a financial issue, or just trying to manage your own resources. You may feel stressed about it, but there is a reprieve when the Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjuncts Mercury which will provide a backdrop for the next 6 months. It has though, moved beyond the opposition to Saturn so it’s possible that whatever barriers and obstacles you’ve faced in the beginning of the month, your cash flow will improve. Venus also moves into the 3rd house on the 10th allowing beneficial communication and later in the month Venus joins Jupiter, so your ideas and words may bring you fortune before the month is out. Venus sextiles Uranus on the 19th so something unexpected may come out into the open, therefore be open to new ideas or take note of a chance conversation. Mercury moves into your 3rd house as well followed by the Sun and this grouping of energy will see the latter part of the month pick up speed. However, there is a Lunar Eclipse on the 25th in Sagittarius, implying expansion and adventure, but it squares Neptune in Pisces so something that you’ve been unaware of will come out into the open and this could be quite disturbing. Mercury moves into your 3rd house as well on the 31st. 

Taurus (Apr 20-May 20): This is an action-packed month beginning with a group of planets in your sign and you may want to focus on yourself and life direction. Mercury moves into your sign on the 2nd so an idea, new plans or projects may be put in motion. Within a week, both Mars and Mercury are opposed by Saturn and this could lead to some serious frustration, limiting your sense of self-esteem. However, the Solar Eclipse on the 10th in your sign conjuncts Mercury so thinking on your feet will be enhanced for the next 6th months and the earlier frustrations will start to fade away. Venus (your ruler) moves into your area of finances, triggering an improvement. By the end of the month, Venus also conjoins Jupiter (and Mercury) in this area bringing an opportunity or a windfall, just watch any over-indulgence! On the 16th and 21st Mercury and the Sun move into the 2nd house area too, so think about your value system. Venus, Mercury and the Sun all make a nice sextile to Uranus and may bring new life to a creative idea. There is a Lunar Eclipse on the 25th in Sagittarius and this clashes with Neptune so don’t mix friends and money in the next 6 months.

Gemini (May 21-Jun 21): Mercury (your ruling planet), moves into your 12th house of secrets on the 2nd, joining the Sun, Venus and Mars. This can lead to more psychological emphasis, especially since strict, restrictive Saturn opposes this Mars and Mercury, depleting your energy. It may be time to scale back activities and look after yourself more. The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjuncts Mercury which will provide a backdrop for the next 6 months, with lots of talking and thinking, especially now Mercury and Mars have has moved on beyond the opposition to Saturn. It’s possible that whatever barriers and obstacles you’ve faced in the beginning of the month around physical and psychological health can improve. The Uranus Pluto square becomes exact on the 20th creating involvement in possible power plays. The Sun enters your sign on the 21st, followed by Venus and Mercury, joining Jupiter, making you feel more progressive. With Mars still in your 12th house, you might feel a bit volatile. Venus and Mercury sextiles Uranus later in the month so unusual friends will be good for you, then they conjunct Jupiter and make an opportunity to cast yourself in a positive light.

Cancer (Jun 22-Jul 22): This is a big month starting with a lot of planets in your 11th house of future aspirations, creating a desire to make more connections with friends and social networks to facilitate your plans. Mercury moves into this sector on the sector, and along with Mars, oppose Saturn leaving a big choice to make before the month is out. However, the Solar Eclipse conjunct Mercury on the 10th will give you the opportunity to network with a lot more people over the next 6 months. Venus moves into your 12th house of retreat and though you may have hopes, consider how it will work out in reality. You can get more in touch with your subconscious side. The Uranus Pluto square is affecting your professional life and you need to realise that you can’t act as independently as you like in relation to a powerful identity.  The 10th, 16th and 21st all see Venus, the Mercury and the Sun move into this reflective area. Venus and Jupiter form a conjunction at the end of the month, so someone could be enormously generous with you, and Mercury also aligns with Jupiter making ideas that have been lying dormant to now have the opportunity to be expanded. A Lunar Eclipse on the 25th affects your energy as it squares diffusive Neptune, and be mindful of any potentially deceptive people around you as well.

Leo (July 23-Aug 22): you may feel determined to get your voice heard at the beginning of this month, as Mars and Mercury are opposed by Saturn.  The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjunct Mercury gives you the opportunity to make your mark and Venus also moves into your 11th house of friendships. Three planets join Uranus. The Uranus Pluto square occurs on the 20th and balancing your freedom with what others want of you, but you may feel depleted if you are doing too much for others in your work, so give yourself some down time and find some creative pursuits. The Suns moves in your 11th house on the 21st can be nice for friends and Venus conjuncts Jupiter so benefits may come from a romantic partner. The Lunar eclipse occurs in Sagittarius, but the Moon squares Neptune. Be clear-headed with your finances over the next 6 months especially in relation to romantic partners.

Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22): Mercury (your ruling planet) moves into your 9th house of higher mind on the 2nd, inspiring you to broaden your horizons. Wait until after the 10th to make arrangements however as the Solar Eclipse aligns with Mercury giving you a freer backdrop of energy for the next 6mths. If you want to go overseas or take up further study or even live overseas then this would be a good time to do it. There will be some practical considerations when Venus moves across your 10th house cusp. You may become more committed in a romantic relationship or get a boost in your career. Mercury moves into your career sector on the 16th too, and you may get to do more studying for your work. Uranus squares Pluto again on the 20th and your desire to be free is held back by financial considerations which can create tension. From the 16th to the 22nd Venus and Mercury positively aspect Uranus so you may come up with imaginative ways to transform your finances and business. The Lunar eclipse occurs in Sagittarius, affecting relationships, and the Moon also squares Neptune. Be on guard for confusion or deception in this area. Jupiter, Mercury and Venus align possibly bringing some good fortune financially.

Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22): A collection of planets is in your 8th house of joint resources, then Mercury moves into there on the 2nd allowing you to research and delve beneath the surface of things. By the end of the 1st week, Saturn in your 2nd house of resources and money opposes Mercury and Mars, so things may come undone in relation to shared resources. The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjunct Mercury and will help you in your thoughts and processes and will help you get ahead. Venus (your ruling planet) moves into your 9th house on the 10th. Mercury moves here too on the 16th seeing you possibly plan and book an overseas holiday or higher education.  From the 16 there is a heavy influence between Uranus and Pluto. This affects relationships and any power plays can be undermining and can happen unexpectedly and affect your sense of balance. Uranus connects with Venus and Mercury during this time as well though and you may connect with someone with whom the sparks will fly, and Pluto will only have an influence if they are the wrong type of person to be around.  Be careful who you let into your life. The Sun moves into your 9th house as well on the 21st. The Lunar Eclipse occurring in Sagittarius on the 25th squaring Neptune in your 6th house affects your nervous system so get plenty of sleep and look after your health. Venus aligns with Jupiter on the 23rd creating a good time to join forces with someone and possibly sign a contract.

Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21): Relationship issues come to the fore and being competitive and assertive in a working relationship may be necessary to keep the boss happy. Mercury arrives on the 2nd so don’t take things to heart too much. Mercury and Mars oppose Saturn causing communications to not flow as well as they might and your interaction with certain people may be so frustrating that it may be a relief to remove yourself from their life.  The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjunct Mercury help you link with others skilfully land alleviate the restriction of Saturn. Venus’ arrival on the 10th may increase you finances. Mercury moves into this area on the 16th, however your ruling planet Pluto squares Uranus affecting your nervous system. Improve your health by doing less and look after yourself more. The sun moves into Gemini on the 21st and there may be ripples. Venus conjunct Jupiter on the 23rd so a business venture so the Lunar Eclipse occurring in Sagittarius on the 25th squares Neptune in your 3rd house and gossip can make its way around you. People may not be upfront with you. Psychological phobias and anxieties may arise over the next few months.  

Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21): A lot of emphasis is on life’s practicalities at the beginning of the month in terms of health and daily work, but if you’ve been socialising a lot then you can be more grounded in these areas especially when Mercury moves into this area on the 2nd. By the end of week 1, both Mercury and Mars will oppose Saturn which may leave you feeling drained and any politics at work can leave you feeling down. The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjuncts Mercury can assist you to apply yourself constructively over the next 6 months. Venus also moves into Gemini on the 10 and you can draw more harmony to yourself now. On the 16th, Mercury moves into this sector and it can help you to be more detached. Pluto squares Uranus on the 20th so watch the finances, and Venus and Mercury forms a nice alignment with Uranus so you may be networking and socialising with new people. Venus also aligns with your ruling planet Jupiter on the 23rd and this could bring someone special into your life. The Lunar Eclipse occurring in Sagittarius on the 25th squares Neptune affecting the psychological side of life with gossip and innuendo about you so try not to buy into people who undermine you, which will affect your morale.

Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19): Capricorns can be serious and on the 2nd Mercury and Mars in Taurus is opposed by your ruling planet Saturn  making you feel hindered by circumstances and feeling quite down. The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjuncts Mercury and can assist you to get back on track for the next 6mths. There might be others in your life who demand more of you. Venus, Mercury and the Sun move into your 6th house of work and health. Uranus in your 4th house squaring Pluto may restrict your individual freedom Venus and Mercury align positively with Uranus as well and you may be able to make money from your innovative ideas or hobbies and work from home. The Lunar Eclipse occurring in Sagittarius on the 25th squares Neptune so don’t believe everything you hear. Jupiter and Venus conjoin and are good for improving your finances or get a new job. Make sure that if you can “talk the talk” you can “walk the walk.”

Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18): There is a collection of planets in your 4th house and the planet of communication moves in there on the 2nd and it and Mars oppose Saturn (your co-ruler). Saturn will put its limiting influence on Mars and Mercury. Something in your professional life affects your home life. You may be working more and you could feel out of sorts. The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjuncts Mercury and can assist you to get back on track for the next 6mths. You can use your mind to work out your issues in a detached way. Keep the lines of communication open. Venus moves into your 5th house of fun, creativity and children and Mercury moves to link with Venus on the 16th and the Sun on the 21st. You may be entertaining at home. Both Venus and Mercury are forging a nice link with Uranus (your modern ruler), so get out your quirky, innovative ideas and communicate with others in your social network. Pluto clashes with Uranus from the 15th and the shadow (repressed) side of your nature may be under pressure and people may tell you things that may make you more conscious of your behaviour. Try to learn more about what makes you tick as a result.  Venus conjuncts Jupiter which could see something nice happen around you love life or talents. The Lunar Eclipse occurring in Sagittarius on the 25th squaring Neptune so please don’t be too idealistic around friends and money. Please be realistic about the future.

Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20): There is a big emphasis on your 3rd house of communications at the beginning of this month, especially from the 2nd as Mercury moves into this area of your chart. It may be a time to articulate yourself more, get your ideas and thoughts out there or take up a course from which you can improve your skills. Teaching and training are on the agenda. However, Saturn will oppose Mercury and Mars in this sector. Something could frustrate you and  be linked to a discussion where you feel someone is not being fair to you. You may find yourself boiling over with frustration. The Solar Eclipse on the 10th conjuncts Mercury and can assist you to express your feelings. Venus, planet of love and affection will influence your 4th house of home and family. It’s joined by the Sun on the 16th and Mercury on the 21st.  The Uranus Pluto square is exact again on the 20th and it is now making a difficult angle around your finances if you are too idealistic in relation to your finances. Venus and Mercury make a nice angle to Uranus so you may take in a boarder, or there may be more flexibility around the home. The Lunar Eclipse occurring in Sagittarius on the 25th squaring Neptune affecting your career zone but try not to be too idealistic about your career. Listen to your intuition. Mars and the Sun make a nice link at the end of the month, and you’ll have the drive to implement any changes you wish to make.

PSYCHIC PARTIES – I do party groups where everyone has as 15 minute reading – this is lots of fun for baby showers, birthdays, hens nights etc and it’s just $20 per reading.  These readings aren’t burnt to disc because there are usually too many people and it just takes up too much time, but I am able to take notes or the person having the reading can take them if they wish.  If you live within an hour of Newcastle CBD there is a minimum of 10 people for a party like this.

FUNDRAISING – I’ve also done a few fundraisers, again which I am happy to do to help a good cause – I usually give a percentage of my takings for the day to help raise funds.

GROUP OF FRIENDS – If you don’t want to go the whole hog with a psychic party but there are four or so friends that would like half hour readings, I will visit you in your home – as long as it’s within a certain radius of Newcastle!  As long as I have a private spot to sit and water to drink, I’m happy!!!  If you live further than an hour from Newcastle CBD I would require a minimum 6 ½ hour readings and yes, I will drive to Sydney!  I would say that my limit would be a maximum of about 2 hours because I would just be too tired upon arriving to do the readings!

Types of readings:

I offer a few different ways to have a reading:-

1.  Face to face – where you come into my room here at Newcastle, this can be for an hour or ½ an hour and your reading is recorded and burnt to disc at no extra charge.
2. Telephone – this is a ½ hour reading and for those that live in Australia
3. SKYPE – ½ hour reading for those anywhere in the world!
4. Emailed reading – ½ hour and again for those that find it difficult to come in for a reading or line a time up for a phone reading or SKYPE.

All readings are just as effective as the other, a face to face reading is no different from a phone reading, I just offer all of the above for your convenience.
