We are at the beginning of a New Year – lots of changes will be in store for everyone, that’s life and the cycle of things. However, many of us find it hard to let go of the old to allow the new to come in, we tend to cling to things whether they are familiar or maybe because we don’t want to admit failure.  Whether this is friendships, a relationship, getting rid of belongings or maybe work, we tend to not want to let go, even though the cycle is finished. Let us just take a friendship as an example, we need to be strong enough to recognise that it no longer serves its purpose, for either person, that doesn’t mean that either person is ‘wrong’ it just means that you’ve both grown and no longer have a need for each other and it is about recognising it and letting it go.  By doing so, you have freed yourself up to allow someone else into your life that is necessary.  Don’t be scared to let changes happen in your life, yes, they can be incredibly stressful at the time but when the dust settles, we can usually see it was for the better and that we are each now on a completely different path than we thought, which is perfectly OK.
